Proteggimi, meaning “protect me” in Italian, is inscribed on this ring around the apotropaeic face of the ancient Gorgoneion. In one advice it is written, “Se trovate difficile pregare, otete dire: “Vieni, Spirito Santo, guidami, proteggimi, sgombera la mia mente affinche possa pregare”. In other words, it is enough to simply ask for spirit, guidance, protection, and a clear mind. Whatever you are facing, the Proteggimi Ring is a reminder to meditate on what is most important – a peaceful inner self, and a sense of connection. With clear minds and hearts, when we ask for this, we will receive.
