Butterfly Pea is a super antioxidant botanical grown in South East Asia. It is known for its mesmerising blue colour, which reflects its rich anthocyanin content. Anthocyanins are known for their ability to fight free radical damage and to prevent oxidative damage. Butterfly Pea tea has traditionally been used to improve vitality and is known for its anti-glycation properties.
Blueberry Leaf: Blueberry Leaves are rich in the antioxidants polyphenols and flavonoids that have been known to increase blood circulation and protect against oxidative damage. Scientists are currently studying the ability for blueberry leaves to assist in improving insulin sensitivity.
Gymnema: Gymnema has a long history of use in Indian Ayurvedic medicine. The Hindi name “gurmar” means “destroyer of sugar”. Chewing the leaves of the plant destroys the body’s ability to identify sweet tastes, providing the reason for this name.
Cinnamon: Cinnamon’s high concentration of antioxidants can help to protect the body from free radical damage. Many of cinnamon’s fantastic properties also come from one substance called cinnameldehyde, naturally present in the spice. It has many antifungal and antibacterial properties that make it a wonderful addition to tea blends and your diet.
